The Reserve Financial institution of India`s (RBI) Twitter deal with achieved 1 million followers on Sunday, turning it the primary central financial institution on the planet to realize the feat. Taking to Twitter, RBI Governor, Shaktikanta Das wrote: “RBI Twitter account reaches a million followers right this moment. A brand new milestone. Congratulations to all my colleagues in RBI.”
It’s adopted by the Banco de Mexico (Financial institution of Mexico) as a distant second with 774,000 followers.
The US Federal Reserve has 677,000 followers and the European Central Financial institution has 591,000 followers.
The Federal Reserve joined Twitter in March 2009, whereas the ECB has been lively on the social media platform since October 2009.
India`s central financial institution, then again joined the micro-blogging web site in 2012.
