The theme of tonight’s Primetime Emmys was ‘Come as You Are’ within the pandemic, and for Restricted Sequence Watchmen Lead Actress winner Regina King and Restricted Sequence Mrs America Supporting Actress winner Uzo Aduba it meant utilizing their style to convey gentle to the Black Lives Matter motion.
Each winners wore T-shirts honoring Breonna Taylor, the 26-year outdated African American medical technician who was fatally shot by three plansclothes Louisville Metro Police who raided her house, executing a no-knock search warrant.
King wore a shirt with Taylor’s face with the phrase “SAY HER NAME” in capital letters.
Talking about her style selection within the backstage digital Emmys pressroom, King stated “The cops haven’t been held accountable” in Taylor’s killing.

Aduba, who wore a shirt emblazoned with Breonna Taylor’s identify, was alerted by the press about King’s impressed style selection.
